Our Scheduled Gap Year programs are the building blocks for one of the most enlightening and memorable experiences of your life! Scheduled Gap Year programs are organized into five ‘strings’ that allow you to get the most out of your Gap Year adventures. Each string has a different theme and is comprised of nine separate programs that range from 18 days to one month. You can follow one string from start to finish or connect programs from several different strings to customize your ultimate Gap Year. Join us for one month or for nine, and create the experience of a lifetime!
 
 

Gap for Good takes you to incredible corners of the globe and lets you soak in the local cultures while creating positive energy through independent community service. These programs tend to be lower in cost and have a higher level of cultural immersion than our Scheduled Gap Year programs because they allow you to live in one place for an extended period of time and require less supervision.

String together several Gap for Good projects in distinctly different parts of a country or the world and stay in each place for as long as you like! You’ll find yourself fully immersed in parts of the world that see very few outsiders, have amazing cultural experiences, and do meaningful service work. Rustic Pathways has numerous Gap for Good options, and they tend to change as projects evolve and our own organization moves into new areas. If you have your own project ideas, we can also help put those into action! Custom Gap Year is for individuals or small groups and is arranged on an individual basis. Custom Gap Year programs can be as long or as short as you wish – from a few weeks to 15 months. You can start and stop when you want, go where you want, and basically build a Gap Year experience that is exactly what you want! Custom Gap Year programs tend to be the most expensive option because they are designed just for you and usually run by a team of our country experts and experienced guides who help you move around the world. The sky is truly the limit with these custom programs!
