ECO LODGE SERVICE BASE WEEKEND SIDE TRIPS

For students staying at the Eco- Lodge for two weeks or more, Weekend Side Trips are available after completing your first full week at the Base. These optional Weekend Side Trips are designed to enrich your overall Eco-Lodge experience. For students staying two or more weeks interested in going on exciting weekend side trips, please be sure to include enough money in your allowance account to cover the costs.

We took our time to come up with four unique and fun Weekend Side Trips. If you need a break from service, want to escape the Base for a weekend, or just want to make the most of your time in Fiji, there's a Side Trip for you.

Looking For Some Adventure?
Located at the top of one of the highest waterfalls in Fiji, your home for the night is nothing short of stunning!  You will take a spectacular hike that will lead you to the base of waterfalls. In the Highlands will have you floating down the river in an inflatable tube!

Calling All Boat Lovers
Looking to get more action on the water? All aboard our private catamaran for a weekend of sailing through the beautiful islands off the coast of Viti Levu.

Coastal Road Trip
Visit eco-park and learn about Fiji’s native flora and fauna. Cruise and explore a stunning stretch of coast. Zip lining, rappelling, shopping and swimming in warm waters!

Relax the Mind, Body, and Soul
Head down to a luxurious spa and indulge yourself in a soothing massage. Great food and atmosphere, this is the ultimate way to treat yourself after a week of hard service.

What better way to end a week of service than relaxing for a couple of days at one of Fiji’s most popular island resorts?  Wake up steps from the beach and get ready for some island fun.  Take a kayak out for the morning, lounge in a hammock with a good book, try sailing a catamaran, or enjoy an optional island massage.  Can’t decide?  Don’t worry; you have two full days to enjoy the relaxed vibe of this beautiful island resort.  Savor mouthwatering buffet meals as you take in the incredible scenery.  At night, sit back, relax and watch the moonlight twinkle on peaceful Pacific waters.  After this weekend of island time, you will be recharged and ready for another great week of service!

Depart the Eco-Lodge for the magical and rustic retreat of Sasa, nestled deep in the mountains overlooking winding rivers and local farms.  Located at the top of one of the highest waterfalls in Fiji, your home for the night is nothing short of stunning!  In the morning, you will take a spectacular hike that will lead you to the base of the falls.  Take time for a refreshing swim and follow the river as it leads you farther into the interior of Fiji.  Then stop for lunch and learn about how the locals have lived off this land for generations.  Your home tonight will be our Highlands Base, where you can explore the farm, relax with our local staff, and soak in the peaceful rural ambience that our Base is famous for!  Your final morning in the Highlands will have you floating down the river in an inflatable tube!  Take in the beautiful mountain scenery and share a laugh with your friends as you pass scenic villages and curious locals.  Your weekend away includes two nights’ accommodation and all meals, transfers and activities.

All aboard our private catamaran for a weekend of sailing through the beautiful islands off the coast of Viti Levu. You’ll visit some of the most beautiful islands in the world during this three-day, two-night sailing excursion. In addition to soaking up the sun and cruising through the islands, you’ll have plenty of time to grab your mask and snorkel and explore the beautiful ocean life. You’ll also stop to hang out on the white-sand beaches of the tiny islands that dot these waters. Sleep on the deck under a blanket of stars and tell tall tales as the waves gently lap around your ocean home. This wonderful escape into Fiji’s pristine aquatic environment will leave you wishing you could stay here forever.
